At Royal Merba we have been baking cookies for over a 100 years! Our royal family business has grown into one of the largest industrial cookie factories in Europe. Not familiar with Royal Merba? We are sure you know us! Because no matter where you are in the world, chances are you'll come across our cookies in the store. We produce a wide range of cookies, with approximately 80 different recipes packaged in over 800 different types of packaging. We supply our cookies to almost all major global retailers such as Albert Heijn, Jumbo, Aldi, Lidl, Casino, and Carrefour. And we continue to grow! As a Sales Manager, you will contribute to this growth by building long-term customer relationships and increasing market share by implementing our successful international sales strategy.

 

What you will do to make international sales a success

•    You will manage your own customer portfolio within the UK & Ireland

•    You will maintain and strengthen long-term customer relationships

•    You will negotiate contracts and price agreements with an eye for margin and customer satisfaction

•    You identify market trends and commercial opportunities

•    You coordinate customer needs with internal teams to align customer expectations with production, logistics, and packaging capabilities.

•    You contribute ideas about pricing and product strategies

•    You actively contribute to the development of the sales team and internal processes

As a Sales Manager at Royal Merba, you will be responsible for growing and managing your own customer portfolio within your region. You will maintain strong customer relationships, conduct price negotiations, and identify market trends. From private label to our own Merba brand, you will manage the entire sales process. Together with your colleagues, you will align customer requirements with R&D, Production, and Logistics. You will contribute strategic ideas about pricing and product range and represent Merba to customers. In this independent role, you will work mainly from home and travel internationally on a regular basis.

Job requirements

Are you our new Sales Manager?

We are looking for a commercial star who puts the customer first while maintaining an overview of complex sales processes. You are analytical, independent, and able to easily switch between different internal and external stakeholders.

You have:

•    A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferably in a commercial field, such as Commercial Economics or International Business)

•    At least 5 years of commercial work experience in a B2B environment: experience in food, retail or private label is an advantage

•    Experience with negotiation processes and customer management

•    Knowledge of MS Office, CRM, and ERP systems

•    Willingness to travel regularly to Merba HQ for meetings and to accompany customer visits or to be present on international fairs
